Irish expats travelling from the United Arab Emirates will still have to do the hotel quarantine if they travel home, even if they are vaccinated.
70% of the population in the UAE have received at least their first vaccine jab.
However the gulf state is still one of the thirty-three countries on the high risk category list, meaning anyone travelling from Dubai or Abu Dhabi will have to quarantine in a hotel for two weeks.
