This week marks the 10th anniversary of the incredible rescue operation of the 33 Chilean miners, who were trapped for an astounding 69 days, following the mine's abrupt collapse in October 2010.

Hector Tober is the author of bestselling book ‘Deep Down Dark: The Untold Stories of 33 Men Buried in a Chilean Mine, and the Miracle That Set Them Free'.  He had exclusive access to the survivors following the rescue.

And  Joe Purcell is the CEO of Mincon, the Irish company which played a major role in the successful rescue operation.

They spoke to Kieran on Thursday's edition of The Hard Shoulder.
