Aer Lingus to permanently close cabin crew base at Shannon Airport.

81 cabin crew worked from the base and they will be offered either enhanced severance or where possible transfer to Dublin.

Cathal Crowe Fianna Fáil TD for Clare spoke about the impact this will have on the region,  Ashley Connolly, head of Fórsa’s services and enterprises division, told Kieran she has been dealing with members crying down the phone who are devastated with the news.

Denis Vaughan from the Save Our Shannon group and Thomas Mc Hugh Director of Public Affairs for the Cork Chamber of Commerce also joined Kieran to share their thoughts on the devastating news.
