The UK health minister Nadine Dorries has said that  describing someone as ‘overweight’ is wrong because it harms their body image and may discourage them from getting fitter. Her comments alongside the announcement that  dating app Bumble has banned body-shaming language from its platforms. 

Professor Carel le Roux, obesity physician at St Vincent's Hospital joined Kieran to discuss how to approach the issue of weight and how medical doctors raise the issue of obesity with a patient.
