Over 41,000 people are driving around on their fourth or subsequent learner permit.

Almost 8,700 are on their TENTH permit.

The Road Safety Authority has launched a campaign urging permit holders to sit their test without delay.

The RSA says there’s no excuse. Waiting times are as low as five weeks in some parts of the country.

Newstalk reporter, Aideen Finnegan, has been asking people on the streets of Dublin how long it took them to learn to drive.
