Chef JP McMahon has spent some time exploring Ireland's culinary past- and it took him thousands of years back into our history.

He's now utilised this new-found knowledge to help him write a book called The Irish Cookbook.

Spanning around 12,000 years of cooking and food preparation on this island, JP joined Ivan to talk about how all this adds up to a recipe book in the 21st century that's reflective of both our past and our current tastes
