Marches by Saoradh, the so-called New IRA, took place over the weekend in Dublin and Cork, and were condemned by the Taoiseach as well as many others.
It followed the death of journalist Lyra McKee on Thursday night.
The marches were so controversial, but were they completely legal? Did they have a right to march like they did, and is there any legal route that could’ve stopped it?
