Wednesday sees the visit to Dublin of Monica Lewinsky, the lady at the centre of a scandal involving then-US president Bill Clinton. He and Lewinsky carried out an affair in the White House when she was 22 years of age, and he was 27 years her senior.
When the affair came to light, it led to a media and political firestorm, which has followed both throughout their lives since.
Lewinsky will be giving a speech titled: “Empathy and Resilience in the Digital Age”.
To discuss the legacy of the Clinton scandal, and what lessons it left for those that came after, Ivan was joined by Terry Prone, chair of the Communications Clinic.
