We have heard this week about how Dublin is the 14th most congested city in the world.
It got us thinking here on the Hard Shoulder - going out into the city centre, are our footpaths actually too congested? Are there simply too many people in the city centre?
And we not only talking about Dublin, but other city centres too? Are they just ill equipped for handling large amounts of people?
Richard Guiney, CEO of Dublin Town joined Ivan in studio, and on the line giving the Cork perspective was former Lord Mayor of Cork, and current city councillor for Fine Gael, Des Cahill.
Is this merely a problem in the capital, or does city congestion also happen elsewhere in the country?
