New research from Young Social Innovators and Amárach suggests that a fifth of 16-21 year olds spend 6 hours or more on their smartphone every day.

Pressure to achieve good exam grades, go to college and get a good job were cited as the areas where life has become most difficult, in part because of the prevalence of smartphones, social media and being online.

Terry Prone is Head of Communications Clinic, and Harry McCann is a 20 year old, who is the founder of Trendster.ie, and they joined Richie Oakley on the Hard Shoulder to discuss whether we need to worry about the younger generations' use of technology.
