Ireland is one of only two countries in Europe that didn’t reduce its alcohol consumption during the first lockdown.
A new study in the Addiction Journal found that Ireland’s alcohol consumption stayed the same, even though pubs and restaurants were closed, while in the UK, alcohol consumption increased.
