It seems as though tens of thousands of euro are being thrown away every yer by overpaying for our road tolls.

Dublin Port Tunnel has said that it has amassed €36,000 in overpaid cash using the express barriers without exact change, and there have been calls for excess cash to be donated to charity.

AA's Director of Consumer Affairs Conor Faughnan told Shane Beatty how the money could be put to use by the operators.
