Figures have revealed that most workers are not saving for a pension.

Official data on the number of employees currently paying into an occupational scheme shows just 47pc of workers are currently contributing to an occupational or private pension.

So most will be relying on the State in old age.

Paul Kenny is the former Pension Ombudsman, and former Director for ten years of the Retirement Planning Council of Ireland and told Ivan what people can and should do.
