Paschal Donohoe will announce the budget for 2020 tomorrow.
He’ll take to the floor at around lunchtime, where a package of benefits and cuts will be announced.
As has become the norm in the last few years, most of the budget top lines have been leaked, and Kevin Doyle, Group Political Editor with Independent News and Media joined Ivan to talk him through them.
Included in the Budget speculation, there is a suggestion the govt will lower the cap for the Help to Buy scheme.
The plan to date has allowed a 5% rebate up to €20,000 to first time buyers who are buying a newly built home, up to €500,000.
The suggestion is that this price cap will be lowered to something between €250,000 to €300,000.
Michael O’Flynn is chairman and CEO Of the O’Flynn group and also gave Ivan his thoughts.
