Friday saw the funeral take place of legendary broadcaster Gay Byrne.

Family and friends went to the Pro Cathedral in Dublin, while mourners lined the streets, to pay their respects to the titan of Irish life.

Newstalk reporter Henry McKean went and spoke to the mourners on the streets.

Senator Mary-Louise O'Donnell spoke at the funeral, and she also joined Ivan on this evening's edition of the Hard Shoulder.
