There have been over 1,700 arrests in London over the last couple of months around the Extinction Rebellion .

Guardian columnist, author and environmental activist George Monbiot was one of those who was arrested.  He videoed it as it happened, and posted it online.

Why did he feel the need to do it, and have the Extinction Rebellion protests had the desired effects over the last fortnight.
