Earlier this morning on Newstalk Breakfast, IBEC CEO Danny McCoy joined Shane and Kieran to discuss and analyze some of the trends we are seeing within the Irish economy.

McCoy said that people do have disposal income, but because they can't get their hands on assets such as houses, they spend their money on nice experiences and other things.

So how is it that so many of us can't buy a house but are able to find disposable income on holidays, coffees and TV packages ?

Bob Quinn is consumer and financial commentator for, and principal of, The Money Advisers and Frank Conway is the founder of The MoneyWizz, and they joined Mark Cagney on this evening's edition of the Hard Shoulder to discuss.
