Official advice says if you are popping out to the shop or a pharmacy or any other essential service the 2 metre distance is a must. To bring that message home and for people to be reminded of the advice warning signs have been cropping up on walls floors and doors. One company that was straight on top of this is Qsafe in Co Wicklow.
