May 25th 2018 is one of Newstalk’s 20 most influential moments of the past two decades, as voted by our listeners.

It is when the people of Ireland voted to legalise abortion.

It was a memorable day for many, particularly for my next guest who campaigned tirelessly for changes to Ireland’s abortion legislation.

Jennifer Ryan is Chair of LMC Bereavement Support and Director of TFMR Ireland (Terminations for Medical Reasons), and she joined Mark on Thursday's edition of The Hard Shoulder to remember that day, and talk about the impact the vote has had.
