A motion has passed unanimously by Mayo County Council today, to cease cooperation with the Department of Integration over the housing of Asylum seekers and refugees in the County.
Protests have also continued outside Racket Hall in Roscrea today, where 17 international protection applicants have been housed since yesterday. Minister Roderic O’Gorman met with some local representatives today to discuss the concerns of locals.
