Should we have higher car pollution taxes?

Early election tensions are already at play as Fianna Fáil and Fine Gael are set to block Green Party plans to reduce traffic pollution.

This would see tolling charges based on road usage as well as charges on the size of vehicle used.

Is this a good idea, or is it just more taxation for motorists?
