The Garda Commissioner is appearing before the Policing Authority this afternoon to answer questions about 999 calls, which weren’t acted upon properly.

An internal inquiry has been carried out after it was noted the number of emergency calls didn’t match the number of referrals to the Garda Pulse System.

The Garda Commissioner is expected to apologies to victims of domestic abuse who didn’t receive the standard of care they should have.

Clíona Sadlier, Executive Director of Rape Crisis Network Ireland joined Mark Cagney to give her reaction.
