When is the system of regulation for creches failing?

A Newstalk Freedom of Information from Tusla has revealed the number of serious incidents reported to them from creches and childcare facilities.

As of June 19th, 116 children had been seriously injured while attending pre-school services this year.

The number is up significantly from 86 at the same point in 2018.

Frances Byrne is the Director of Policy and Advocacy at Early Childhood Ireland and explained what she wants to see from the Government next.
