Because of higher inflation and the impact of the war in Ukraine, the Central Bank has revised its forecasts for growth in the economy downwards.
In its quarterly bulletin, it says inflation this year could peak at 8% and will average out at 6.5% for the year as a whole. Meanwhile tax revenues for the start of the year have amounted to €17.2bn.
