There has been an increase of hemp farming licenses issued by the HPRA every year in Ireland.
It is estimated that there are up to 100 people now growing the crop across the country.
With CBD and seed products increasing in popularity reporter Josh Crosbie took a visit to a hemp farm in Co Wicklow.
He also met with food oil producers and builders who use the cannabis plant in their products.
