Most of Ireland’s main hospitals are banning visitors from bringing in flowers. The move comes on the back of concerns over hygiene, allergies, breakages, a lack of space and creating extra work for nurses. But what about the benefits to bringing in a bouquet of flowers to a loved one and the lift it can give them at a time of pain or stress? Ivan is joined by florist Michelle Moloney and Dr Mark Rowe to discuss.
