"Schools open, no PCR testing, no contact tracing, no test required to enter country, all with record cases. They don't want to admit it, but they've finally given up the fight to stop the spread. And it's great news".

So says political commentator John McGuirk about the recent changes by the government.

He says "Government has finally accepted - without publicly admitting it - that restrictions are useless against Covid, and that it's time to stop fighting the virus".
