TDs are set to see their salaries exceed past €100,000 per year in the coming months in a 2% pay rise.

The pay rise, awarded to public service sectors, will come into effect by July.

Backbench TDs will get a hike from just over €98,000 to just over €100,000.

Kieran was joined by Mick Barry, People Before Profit TD for Cork North Central, and also by former Minister for Justice Nora Owen, who debated whether the increase was a good idea.
