The government is being asked to clarify how much investment will come from the private contractor involved in the National Broadband Plan.
According to reports this morning, the cost is expected to exceed €5 billion – with €3 billion coming from the government. Finance Minister Paschal Donohoe went against advice that the plan is a massive risk to state finances and a leap of faith by the government.
