Apple are celebrating their 40th anniversary in Cork City this week.
The base in Hollyhill started off small in 1980; employing just 60 people. But it is now the city’s biggest employer; over the past decade it has doubled its workforce there to more than 6,000.
But the past forty years haven’t been without controversy, especially with the protracted court case involving Apple, Ireland and the European Commission. #
