The Mayor of County Cork, Mary Linehan-Foley has said that their county council is preparing to launch educational awareness projects in schools and mount social media campaigns to counter what she’s called, a dog fouling 'pandemic'.
Senator Regina Doherty addressed the issue of dog fouling herself late last week and she joined Sinead and Kris Overfield, a mother, whose son was hospitalised after getting a bacterial infection caused by dog fouling to discuss what can be done to encourage owners to pick up after their dogs.
