2023 was the worst year for road fatalities since 2016

2023 was the worst year for road fatalities since 2016. 69 drivers, 44 pedestrians, 34 passengers, 26 motorcyclists, 8 cyclists and 3 e-scooter users lost their lives for a total of 184 deaths.    Ten people have been killed on the roads so far this year, with a pedestrian and driver losing their lives in separate incidents over the weekend.   Newstalk’s Jamie O Hara has been speaking to road safety advocates and has this report:
