A flight from Dallas, Texas; which is the worst hit State in the United States from Covid-19, arrived at Dublin Airport this morning.
Almost a quarter of a million positive cases have been recorded in Texas, while 3,046 people have died to date.
40,000 new coronavirus cases have been confirmed in The Lone Star State this week alone.
There were sixteen passengers onboard the flight this morning, and Ameican Airlines confirmed to our reporter Barry Whyte that they are now resuming three weekly flights from Dallas to Dublin.
Meanwhile the Department of Health here say people arriving into the State from overseas should restrict their movements for 14 days.
They also say that the Government continues to consider closely policy measures on overseas travel as part of the development of a Roadmap on Safe Overseas Access, which is due to be finalised in the coming days.
