The Gardaí and the Competition and Consumer Protection Commission are warning students to be aware of accommodation scams.There is a spike in these type of scams this time of year, with a third of all accommodation fraud happening in August and September."
More than half of the victims targeted are under the age of 25, so one can assume many are students.
