6th class pupils in Dublin's south inner city have revealed the kind of drug-related incidents they face on their journey to St Audoen's National School on Cook Street.
It's in close proximity to Merchants Quay Ireland which supports people dealing with addiction and homelessness. It has been awarded the contract to host Ireland's first Medically Supervised Injection Facility, but is awaiting a planning decision from Dublin City Council.
The school's principal, Éilis Meaghar, along with the children's parents are objecting to the facility going ahead at this location.
