The Food Safety Authority of Ireland (FSAI) reported that five Closure Orders were served on food businesses during January for breaches of food safety legislation. Reasons for the closures include freezers within a premises having an extremely large build-up of congealed blood and a
failure to ensure adequate pest control leading to rats.
