he 60th Anniversary of the first deployment of Irish to the Congo in 1960. The 60th anniversary of the Niemba ambush is on November 8th. 9 Irish soldiers were killed by the Baluba Tribe in the ambush at Niemba. Two survived, Privates Joe Fitzpatrick and Tom Kenny living in Dublin.  Pat was joined on the show by Comdt Dick Irwin (Retd) and Capt Bobby Seward (Retd) to look back on 60 years ago.
