Dublin Zoo like many Irish attractions during the Pandemic in 2020 struggled, down 600,000 visitors losing over €8 million in revenue but are now close to raising €3 million in donations after a public appeal. The zoo needs €500,000 just to feed the animals a month. Henry McKean visited Ireland's number one attraction to see what happens on Christmas Day at the Zoo. Henry met zoo keepers Ciaran McMahon and Gerry Creighton who is retiring after 36 years of service.
