This Friday we will enter into the Chinese Year of the Ox.

This event will be celebrated by tens of thousands of people here in Ireland with the Chinese Lunar New Year Festival in Dublin going digital in 2021.

You would be forgiven for thinking that the relationship between our two countries is a very modern one, but there is a surprising and complex history spanning generations, from culinary history to sports.

To discuss the storied past relationships between ourselves here in Ireland and the people of China, Donal Fallon joined Gavan for another episode of Hidden Histories.
