A new plaque was unveiled in Islington, North London on July 14th. But unusually - this plaque commemorates an Irish nationalist. For Michael Collins, London was a defining city in his life - and long before he would sign the Anglo-Irish Treaty there, it was a city in which he worked, he socialised, and became increasingly active in Irish radical circles.
