Gavin is joined by Professor Sam McConkey, Head of the Department of International Health and Tropical Medicine at the Royal College of Surgeons.

Together they discuss the open letter written this week by over 1,000 Irish scientists who have called on governments, both north and south, to 'crush' Covid-19 and not just keep it under control, the potential impact of physical distancing on children, and look at whether the reopening of schools and other social environments for young people should be a priority when it is considered safe to do so.
