Pauline O’Reilly, Senator and Chair of the Green Party joined Gavin Reilly to discuss the results the climate deal will have on farming sector in Ireland.
The Green Party's chairperson has said the national herd will likely reduce in size as a result of the Government's climate deal - contradicting the Taoiseach, who says livestock numbers will 'stabilize'.
"While no farmers will be forced to downsize their herds as a result of this week's deal - which will see agriculture emissions cut by 25% by the year 2030 - farmers will be incentivised to pursue other businesses instead" - Senator O'Reilly had said.
