The Platinum Jubilee celebrations for Queen Elizabeth II are well and truly underway in Britain and while we’ve seen huge crowds and mountains of bunting, there are also those that question the relevance of the monarchy in a 21st century UK and Commonwealth.

But are they right and is there any realistic chance that they might eventually do away with their monarch?
