On the Home Show this week with Sinead Ryan
“Many of the Hallowe’en celebrations we enjoy today owe their origins to the ancient festival of Samhain celebrated by our Celtic ancestors?” – That’s according to Sinead's guest Clodagh Doyle Keeper of the Irish Folklife Division at the National Museum of Ireland.
Halloween - like many other traditions and festivals throughout the year - comes with many links to traditions and foods and Halloween is no different. So to look at some of the regional traditions Sinead was joined by Ross Golden Bannon - member of the Irish Food Writers Guild.
We looked at "Black Magic" in the home, as our resident architect Roisin Murphy talks us though how to use the colour black when it comes to interiors. Also as the clocks go back an hour this weekend, we ask if people have any time for clocks in the modern home? #ObjectOfDesign was courtesy of the artist Alwyn Gillespie
