Bonus payments were a bit of a controversial topic for many of the African World Cup sides over the past month with conflicts over the issue causing deep divisions, particularly for Ghana.
But tournament runners up Argentina donated a €100,000 sum to a paediatric cancer hospital in Buenos Aires.
The money was donated through the Lionel Messi Foundation which has helped the Hospital Garrahan in the recent past.

Reports in Argentina have suggested that Messi and his Barcelona team-mate Javier Mascherano were behind the decision to put some of the bonus money to good use.
