Jack McCaffrey and Bernard Brogan scored the goals for the Dubs while Seanie Johnstone and Emmet Bolton got the Kildare goals.
Kerry are still looking for their first league win under Eamonn Fitzmaurice after they lost to All Ireland champions Donegal by 1-12 to 0-5 in Ballybofey. Michael Murphy scored a penalty while Kerry had Tomas O Se sent off.
Cork beat Tyrone 0-14 points to 0-8 at Healy Park to end the Ulster sides 100 per cent record.
