The PFA has released the FIFA XI as voted for by voters based in England. There are some significant differences, with the Premier League getting 5 of the 11 spots, as opposed to the 0 spots the league's players were awarded in the overall vote. The biggest difference in opinion is at the back with 3 of the 5 defensive positions changing between the two votes as vincent Kompany and Ashley Cole replace the Brazilian duo of Marcelo and Dani Alves, while Joe Hart gets the nod in goal ahead of Iker Casillas.
The English voted side would has an almost even split between the Premier League and La Liga, with Manchester City’s Yaya Toure and Manchester United’s Robin van Persie the other two Premier League players to earn a spot.
The La Liga players who didn’t make the cut in the eyes of their English based counterparts were Falcao, Xabi Alonso, Dani Alves, Marcelo and Iker Casillas.
