The reigning Olympic Super-Heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua was crowned IBF Heavyweight champion on Saturday evening with a two-round demolition on Charles Martin.

The Londoner is now the second British fighter to currently hold a Heavyweight title, following Tyson Fury's defeat of Wladimir Klitschko last year.

Joshua's World title win came in only his sixteenth professional fight. He is one of the quickest to win World Heavyweight title in the history of boxing. Even legends like Muhammad Ali and Mike Tyson took longer to win their first title.

Martin was knocked down twice in the second round as he lost for the first time in his professional career. The American won the IBF belt in January defeating the Ukrainian fighter Vyacheslav Glazkov in New York.

After the fight, Joshua's promoter Eddie Hearn revealed that the 26-year-old is next scheduled to fight on July 9th, potentially in Wembley. On the same night, Tyson Fury defends his World titles in Manchester against Klitschko.

Joshua revealed that he hopes to fight Fury soon in a domestic showdown. He told the BBC; "I’m going to walk through Tyson Fury when’s he’s ready. I’m not messing around believe you me."
