The Arsenal Supporters' Trust have issued a statement saying manager Arsene Wenger should not be offered a new contract.

After a losing start to the new season against Aston Villa, the Gunners were booed off the pitch. 

The Trust and a large portion of the Arsenal fanbase are unhappy about the lack of summer signings.

Wenger has another year to run on his current deal.

Arsenal face a crunch Champions League qualifier first leg against Turkish side Fenerbahce on Wednesday with a thin squad bereft of injured players.

There are reports today that midfielder Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain could be out for several months with a knee injury.
