From what we can gather Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho thinks hope is fading fast but it is still possible they could sign Wayne Rooney.

Rooney started his first game under David Moyes last night and impressed both his manager and the fans as well as Jamie Carragher and Gary Neville watching in the Sky Sports studio complete with Michael Bubble esq suits.

Jose insists that he was told by some one "very important in Rooney’s career " that the striker was interested in a move, however the former Everton strikers performance last night suggested otherwise.
